Imece Women’s Centre Joined Million Women March in Central London

9 March 2024 – Imece Women’s Centre participated in the Million Women March held in central London, aiming to raise awareness about violence against women and girls. Thousands of feminists and women from various women’s organizations across the UK gathered at Duke Street for this significant event, marking the 16th year of the march.

Amidst chants, dances, and powerful slogans, participants marched to Trafalgar Square by highlighting the various aspects of violence faced by women globally. Joining thousands of women, Imece’s volunteers and staff stood in solidarity and lent their voices and presence to raise awareness about violence against women and girls.

The march served as a platform to unite voices, advocate for change, and demand action against all forms of violence targeting women. Imece Women’s Centre remains committed to struggling for a world where women can live free from fear and violence and will continue to support women in our communities.
